At our Coats & Clark location in Charlotte, North Carolina, we are looking for a Network Administrator to join our team and play a key role in maintaining and shaping our network infrastructure. During a time of immense change within our organization, this role will play an influential role ensuring our systems have the capacity to perform as we grow.

 

Reporting into the Director of IT, the Network Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the operational and technical aspects of all Spinrite Inc and Coats and Clark Inc server/host/storage environments, voice/data networks, and peripherals maintained by the Information Technology Department.  This includes any and all business continuity solutions to ensure all systems are running efficiently and continuously, supporting any internal customer needs, and educating end users as needed.  A key focus of this role will be on engineering and designing networks. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage, maintain, and monitor the operational integrity of all hardware, operating systems and core components on company hosts and storage arrays across the LAN/WAN.
  • Manage, maintain, and monitor the performance of the voice and data networks across all switches, routers, VoIP solutions, and firewalls.
  • Manage, maintain, and monitor the security of the IT environment.
  • Manage, test, and perform all activities related to business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Administer and maintain the Active Directory structure including permissions and access rights to resources on the network.
  • Work closely with internal and external support personnel.
  • Provide all mobile device management needs for the organization.
  • Participate in all CAPEX/OPEX planning requirements.
  • Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user computing hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Liaise with vendors for procurement of equipment and supplies.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
  • Assist in the implementation of standards and procedures.
  • Maintain high level of competence through internal and external training.
  • Travel to other offices and locations including Toronto and the US
  • Able to work after hours as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • University Degree or College Diploma in a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years work experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Strong IT skills in software including:
    • All MS Windows server and client OS platforms
    • Active Directory and MS Azure
    • All Linux Kernel Server OS platforms
    • MAC OSX
    • MS Exchange 2010 or newer
    • VMware ESXi 5.5 or newer
    • Hyper-V
    • MS SQL Server 2000 or newer
    • Backup Exec 15 or newer
    • Veeam Backup and Replication v9 or newer
    • All O365 Applications
  • Strong IT hardware skills in the areas of servers, network infrastructure (LAN/WAN technologies, Layer 3 or greater, VPLS), peripherals, wireless (Motorola/Others), VOIP technologies, plus more.
  • Experience with:
    • Visual Enterprise (ERP) and Infor Global Financials is an asset
    • Cisco Networking Operating Systems (Cisco IOS).  Cisco Certifications is an Asset.
    • Cisco 6000 phone systems and other Cisco Collaboration solutions.
    • Mobile technologies. (Android,  Apple, etc.)
    • Web server technologies. (IIS, Apache, Tomcat)
  • Strong in the areas of:
    • Project management
    • Troubleshooting and problem solving
    • Customer service, interpersonal skills
    • Analytical and planning skills.  Strategic thinker.
    • Time management and task prioritization
  • Travel is required to other facilities, must have a valid passport, driver’s license and access to transportation
