About the Role

Spinrite is the largest craft yarn and sewing thread company in North America. As an industry leader focused on driving growth and execution excellence, we are looking for a Design Team Coordinator to support a maternity leave position and work closely with our Design Team in our Toronto location. This is an opportunity to work with a highly creative team as an integral support person to coordinate all of their projects. Our Design Team creates 700 craft patterns annually to support all of our craft brands for retailer and social channel campaigns.

Reporting to the Creative Design Manager, the Design Team Coordinator will be responsible for inter-departmental coordination with our Digital, Creative and Marketing Teams to gather and manage the information our Design Team needs to execute effective campaigns to inspire our consumers with best-in-class inspiration content!

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead contact from Design Team for collaborations with Digital Team and Designers to create branded (Yarnspirations) video pattern support, Facebook Live events, social accounts content, Work In Progress (WIP) images, and all other support outside of scheduled pattern creation.

  • Lead contact from Design Team for collaborations with Marketing Team and Designers to create retailer-focused video pattern support, product launch events, Stitch Alongs, etc.

  • Lead contact from Design Team with Digital Team to ensure Designers are kept up to date on Influencer’s content calendar, Influencer’s pattern editing schedule, and any other Influencer’s contributions that require Design Team collaboration.

  • Assist in accessibility of information to team in AirTable, Sharepoint files, etc. as needed.

  • Lead contact to report on pattern creation reports for Marketing Team using AirTable records.

  • Manage Design Team campaign meeting files and update files as needed during scheduled meetings, follow up with design team members for necessary updates after meetings conclude.

  • Coordinate with Yarn and Project Coordinator and Photography Coordinator to ensure Pre-Production meetings are effective before photography dates.

  • Manage Design Team pattern correction process in coordination with Creative, Digital and Consumer Care Teams.

  • Assist Creative Design Manager with research / recommendations for pattern format delivery on, focused on new craft concepts and the best methods to instruct / convey new inspiration to our consumer. 

  • Prepare for and attend all relevant meetings via Teams or in person.

  • All other duties as assigned.


  • Creative problem-solving skills, highly organized work methods and excellent multi-tasking skills are essential

  • College or University Diploma / Degree in Project Management, Marketing, Fashion, Graphic Design is very beneficial 

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft and Adobe Creative Suite software or equivalent using Apple systems

  • Must be proficient in project management software (Airtable or equivalent)

  • Experience with commercial photography, video creation, social media account management and set styling is beneficial

  • Some knowledge of knitting and/or crocheting is preferred but not essential
