About the Role

The receiving supervisor is responsible for scheduling container deliveries and maintaining a share point spreadsheet. Directs activities for receiving and handling deliveries. Coordinates and supports operations in the Receiving Department.

This position reports to the Distribution Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Schedule incoming containers and coordinate receiving with unloading team

  • Train receiving team in all aspects of their responsibilities including job-specific safety policies and procedures

  • Ensure inbound product is inspected to meet quality standards and that paperwork is accurate

  • Ensure the security of all company assets

  • Maintain share point spreadsheet and ensure that all paperwork is properly completed and submitted to the appropriate department

  • Maintain productivity of all receiving team members including monitoring their performance

  • Process all orders for distribution and incoming delivery and maintain accurate records of all goods in and out of storage in order to produce accurate daily reports of the work done

  • Keep records of damage stock returned and the nature of the damage

  • Maintain a fair and equal standard of discipline of company rules and safety policies

  • Maintain compliance with company policies and good housekeeping practices

  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Two years warehouse experience

  • Must be able to operate a forklift and pallet jack

  • Strong math, written, oral, data entry, and computer skills in MS Office Excel and Word

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Good working knowledge of operations within the department

  • Ability to use Radio Frequency ( RF) scanners is an asset

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Must be able to sit, walk long distances, push, pull, bend, stoop, squat

  • No pending reprimands
