About the Role

Spinrite is the largest craft yarn and sewing thread company in North America. As an industry leader focused on driving growth and execution excellence, we are looking for a Distribution Supervisor to join our growing Distribution team.

Reporting to the Distribution Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring operational responsibilities are carried out in an effective and efficient manner. This position will be working cross-functionally with all DC departments to ensure company goals are met. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assign associates tasks to complete warehouse functions such as: receiving, replenishment, order-filling, shipping, quality audits.

  • Plan work assignments and equipment allocation to meet production goals.

  • Motive employees

  • Monitor pick rates and investigate areas and members that are not meeting targets.

  • Generate labels that are required to complete orders and for quality concerns.

  • Generate daily reports. Create reports as required.

  • Schedule associates as necessary to complete work objectives.

  • Create Prime locations, Support internal material transfers.

  • Create Work Instructions as well as visual control documents.

  • Utilize Lean Methodology to continually Improve operations.

  • Coach, train and develop department leads to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned team members.

  • Partner with supervisors from other departments to leverage resources effectively.

  • Maintain the facility budget in close partnership with DC Ops Manager and DC Manager

  • Ensure employees have the tools they need to perform tasks.

  • Directly responsible for ensuring the health and safety of others within one’s own team or functional area. Responds to crisis situations where the health and safety of others may be at risk.

  • Perform other duties as required.


  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to solve basic mathematical problems.

  • Experience working in a warehouse setting.

  • High school diploma.

  • Experience leading a group of employees a plus.
