About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Business Partner, the HR Coordinator will play a key role in recruiting, onboarding, and supporting our teams across our operational facilities. This position will provide day-to-day assistance to our employees and managers and coordinate various programs and initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who is looking to gain or grow their experience in the field of HR as this position will be exposed to a variety of functions and will be part of a dynamic environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Champions full cycle recruitment of our operational team members

  • Onboards new team members, including collecting documentation, conducting orientations, and supporting managers to ensure the experience is positive

  • First point of contact for general HR inquiries and responding or redirecting in a timely manner

  • Works with supervisors and managers to foster positive employee relations

  • Supports and coaches’ managers on our policies and procedures to ensure they are applied consistently

  • Contributes to the development of a respectful and inclusive culture through the facilitation of policies and corporate programs

  • Supports with the updating of key documentation, including organizational charts, job descriptions, etc.

  • Works with the team to document and improve key processes to better serve our business

  • Prepares regular reports and statistics for our operations team, regularly improves HR data, and utilizes HR metrics and people data to drive solutions

  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

  • A college diploma in a field related to HR or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • 1 year of previous HR experience considered an asset

  • Knowledge of HR related laws, principles, and best practices

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)

  • Engaging and inclusive communicator, both orally and written.

  • Flexible and willing to learn new tasks

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
