About the Role

Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, this individual will be responsible for providing support, guidance, and employment relations advice to organizational leaders in the management of people to meet business objectives and to ensure consistent application of HR programs, policies, and legislation.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner with Site Operations at our Listowel Manufacturing & Distribution locations to execute on HR programs, policies, and procedures to optimize operational performance.

  • Coach, provide guidance, and recommendations for leaders in relation to employee related concerns which can include performance management, attendance, and employee exits.

  • Support leaves management and active investigations as they occur.

  • Responsible for talent acquisition activities and reporting metrics to improve efficiencies.

  • Maintains confidential human resources records.

  • Maintains open communication channels with employees and managers by answering questions, explaining policies and procedures, utilizing all communication channels, including our Open-Door policy.

  • Maintains HR practices by recommending changes or clarification of existing policies, developing new policies and procedures as required.

  • Conducts and develops internal training sessions.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Human Resources.

  • CHRP or CHRL designation, viewed favorably but not required.

  • College or University education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Experience working with complex employee relations tasks and leading investigations.

  • Prior knowledge and application of HR related laws, principles, and best practices.

  • Experience in coaching and providing guidance to leaders.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
