About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Millwright will be responsible for providing competent and effective maintenance support to plant operations. They will prepare, assemble, install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, equipment, fixtures, control devices and related equipment and processes.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on all mechanical systems and equipment, this includes disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration

  • Utilize welding skills to cut and weld for parts repair, fabrication, and assembly

  • Identify defective parts and malfunctions in the production equipment and processes

  • Interpret and read blueprints and mechanical drawings

  • Devise visible plans for mechanical and equipment installations including sketches and estimates for installations, repairs, and upgrades

  • Inspect and maintain existing mechanical systems including switches, safety devices and fixtures

  • Ensure mechanical systems in buildings and on equipment comply with local codes and safety standards and are free of defects

  • Train and supervise new hires and/or apprentices (if applicable)

  • Maintain records and repair logs as per

  • Provides instruction, guidance, or information that others can use to ensure their own health and safety.

  • Communicate potential mechanical hazards on equipment to appropriate leadership

  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Maintenance background should consist of hydraulics, controls, welding, electrical, machine tools and pneumatics

  • Working knowledge of hand and power testing tools

  • Minimum 6 months of work experience

  • Ability to read and understand one-line diagrams, blueprints, and schematics

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • 433A License

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
