About the Role

Reporting to the Department Manager, the Dyehouse Production Supervisor will coordinate the activities of production associates, maintain productivity, and ensure accurate documentation.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of production workers.

• Establish methods to meet work schedules, and coordinate work activities with all 


• Resolve work problems; recommend measures to improve productivity and product 


• Train workers in job duties, department specific safety procedures, and company policies.

• Make recommendations pertaining to hiring, promotions, and transfers.

• Maintain a fair and equal standard of discipline of company rules and safety policies.

• Prepare production and other reports.

• Set up machines and equipment when required.

• Ensure smooth operation of equipment and machinery and arrange for maintenance and 

repair work.

• Seek out and capture opportunities for cost reduction and continuous improvement.

• Ensure all health and safety requirements are met


• Computer literacy using Microsoft Office

• Post-secondary education in materials management or related discipline or equivalent

combination of education and work experience

• 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in a production environment.

• Good working knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act

• Good communication skills, both oral and written

• Proven ability to work with others and on teams

• Proven problem-solving skills and good decision-making track record

• Job task planning and organizing skills
