About the Role

As an industry leader focused on driving growth and execution excellence, we are looking for a Quality Inspection Coordinator to support our Distribution team in Washington, North Carolina. The Quality Inspection Coordinator performs testing of finished product including evenness tests and count tests, works with shift supervisors to maintain quality standards for consistency, maintains data of testing results and communicates findings with offsite Quality Team Members.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform testing and enter testing results of yarn received from container trucks into Quality Assurance log

  • Test skeins of yarn for shade variations, UPC accuracy, knots and twisting inconsistencies, etc.

  • Promptly address quality issues as they arise with Quality Team

  • Work closely with the onsite Supervisors on quality issues

  • Adhere to all safety rules and personal protective equipment requirements

  • Maintain a clean work area

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must have 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a quality assurance environment

  • Must have strong math skills and strong attention to detail

  • Knowledge of computer systems such as Excel and Microsoft Word required

  • Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision

  • Must have working knowledge of process control methods

  • Excellent Communication skills

  • Must work overtime as required

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, squat, walk long distances, push and pull

  • Must be able to work in a environment that is not climate controlled
