About the Role

Reporting to the Corporate Quality Manager, the Quality Assurance (QA) Technician will support testing activities for qualification of suppliers, component changes, and newly developed products. Additional QA Technician responsibilities include investigating and correcting quality opportunities and certification activities, as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining quality objectives that align with corporate policies and goals.

  • Assist in analysis, inspection, test and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned Component Materials and/or Finished Goods.

  • Assist in developing and initiating standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.

  • Perform testing, including shade matching, and reporting of Component Materials, pre-production samples, first (1st) production samples, and/or finished Goods for adherence to specifications to meet internal Quality timelines.

  • Assist in methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation to standards required to meet Customer testing requirements and maintain quality certifications, such as, but not limited to, Oeko-Tex Standard 100.

  • Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate and compare component materials, products and/or Suppliers.

  • Ensure essential safety testing completed in a timely manner to coincide with product launch requirements.

  • Participate in and support Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) and Continuous Improvement efforts, including but not limited to, internal auditing.

  • Safety responsibility includes following standard defined health and safety procedures and reporting any observed workplace hazards. Ensures quality standards and procedures are being met for the safety of customers and employees.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma

  • Strong computer skills in applications including MS Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Strong Math Skills

  • Strong Communication Skills

  • Time Management Skills

  • Able to work well with others.

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in quality.

  • Yarn production experience preferred.

  • Some college would be an asset.
